Andy Badertscher, CFP®, CLU®

I am a life-long resident of the Wooster area and I truly find joy in serving the people of this area and beyond. My foray into financial planning started in 1998 when I took an internship with, what was then known as, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in Westlake, OH. I was a junior at Baldwin-Wallace College at the time. Over the following two decades, I’ve known nothing else professionally speaking. Upon graduation, I worked for Lincoln Financial Advisors in Columbus and really began to understand the field at a practical level. My wife Jen (also from Wooster) and I married in 2000 and by 2002 decided we were ready to return to Wayne County to start our family. In 2003 I became affiliated with the Hummel Group and we also welcomed our first daughter, Maryn. It was a big year!

When I’m not in the office, I’m most likely in a gymnasium or at a ball field. Our four children (Maryn, Eily, Drew, and Joseph) keep us moving (and hopefully keep us young). Jen does a wonderful job managing the family calendar and making sure I end up in the right spot. I also enjoy serving in leadership positions around the community including Wooster Nazarene Church, Central Christian School Booster Club, and Wooster Summer Fastpitch.

I have been with Hummel Group since 2003. While a lot has changed in the world around me over that time, the best part of this career has remained the same. That is, helping clients find confidence in their plans for the future and protect against any risks that may get in their way.
