A SmartVestor Professional is someone who's been fully vetted by Dave Ramsey's team at Ramsey Solutions. They interview you and you have to agree to a code of ethics. My job as a SmartVestor Professional is to help people reduce and eliminate the risk associated with retirement planning. Our goal is to help them understand what their options are so they can make informed decisions that are in their own best interest financially. The reason why Dave chose me to be a SmartVestor Professional is because Dave suggests you find a financial professional that has the heart of a teacher and I used to be a teacher and one of the things I enjoy doing is helping people understand the why behind the what of finance.

The reason why I chose to become a SmartVestor Professional is because my father passed away from leukemia when I was 11 years old and my mom followed a lot of Dave's advice and made wise financial decisions and that was really instrumental in helping our family get through some really difficult times. So I enjoy taking not only that experience from growing up but also what I've been trained to help people with here at Hummel Group and leveraging those experiences so that other families can be well-prepared for whatever life might throw at them. And the reason why I specifically enjoy and have fun with the SmartVestor program is because I find I can really help people that take two things seriously: their family and their money. And most people that buy into what Dave's preaching, they tend to take those two things real seriously.
