Why work with a Hummel Group Financial Advisor?

Did you know that many of the Financial Advisors at Hummel Group have obtained certifications or have taken classes and continuing education courses?

As a locally and nationally recognized insurance and financial services agency we encourage educational development and growing our industry knowledge base to better serve our clients.

What does it mean to have a certification?

Many of these certifications or designations require certificants to meet rigorous professional standards and adhere to the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism and diligence when dealing with clients.

How are certifications obtained and maintained?

Many certifications require the completion of multiple college-level courses in personal financial planning in addition to having earned a bachelor's degree or higher. Topics covered in these courses may include general principles of financial planning, insurance planning, investment planning, income tax planning, retirement planning, estate planning, interpersonal communication, professional conduct and fiduciary responsibility.  Once the coursework requirements are met an examination must be passed.  A minimum of three years of professional experience in the financial planning process is often required as well.  Strict ethical standards and continuing education requirements are also a requirement for most certifications.
